Avani Metropolis Auckland Residences

We have stayed in Avani Metropolis several times before and had chosen other options recently due to the tired looking apartments. However this time, we asked for a "fresh" apartment and they delivered. So we will try Avani Metropolis in future. The people at reception are mostly very helpful and friendly. However there was one bad apple...

Quiet. I was upgraded to 1BR, which was very complete. Nice little kitchen, cozy living room area, small comfy bedroom with both heavy and light curtains. It’s also got long term residences there, so it feels pretty quiet. Not like a regular hotel. Adjacent to the lovely Albert Park. Easy walking distance to Sky Tower, and everything that the downtown has to offer. Nice balcony but balconies on the front of the building may have a better views. Pool was excellent for lap swimming. Decent sauna. I didn’t use the gym.

I loved everything . My partner & I have stayed here numerous times now & every single time I always put in a special request whether its a nice view or a balcony & although it is up to the availability , they always try their best to accommodate us & get it right every time . This is the first time that we stayed with our first born who is 3 months old & it was such an easy check in , easy access to everything we needed & as always , so relaxing . Was nice to be back again with our baby after staying so many times before by ourselves . We can’t wait to stay here again in the near future . Also , the staff are always so kind & I dont feel like we are being discriminated against because we are of polynesian decent , unlike other hotels .

Great room in a wonderful location on the nicer side of Queen Street and overlooking the park. Reception were lovely, very responsive and helpful. We made enquiries before arriving about the availability of car parking and received prompt and clear answers, which was reassuring. Once we got used to being so high up, we loved the apartment and the views over the city.

Excellent location for visiting the main tourist sites. I walked everywhere. Reassuring to have a 24/7 reception facility as a female travelling alone. Apartment was very comfortable and clean with weekly housekeeping and I felt very safe. There was a kitchenette so I was able to cook in the apartment and a washing machine and tumble dryer. Very helpful reception staff and beautiful art deco building. Great swimming pool and beautiful park opposite.
